Job Description

A leading design firm in Chicago is looking to add a Job Captain to their team!

Job Description:

+ Assists with various tasks during earlier phases on project as needed

+ Acts as primary contact for all outside parties once the DD phase begins

+ Coordinates with GC, Architect of Record, and/or Consultants (OAC calls, RFIs, Submittals, etc.)

+ Reviews design documentation during DD/CD phases to ensure alignment with design intent

+ Reviews and coordinates with outside consultants drawings

+ Completes initial review of submittals and RFI’s

+ Completes site visits throughout the construction phase, documenting with photos

+ Compiles interior project punch lists and coordinates with architect and other trades in collaboration with the GC

+ Assists with delegation of tasks and coordinates with the team as needed to ensure project needs are met

+ Ability to mentor technical team members with occasional site visits, sharing of in-field experience and

+ construction knowledge

Qualifications:

+ Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design

+ Technical documentation experience at an architecture or interior design firm

+ 7+ years of experience

+ Must have experience managing a project team

+ Must have the capability to lead construction administration independently

+ Must have hospitality experience

+ AutoCAD proficiency; SketchUp knowledge, Bluebeam is a plus
