Overview
Starting pay for this position is $16.83/hour.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The PACE Driver is responsible for safely transporting the OSF PACE participants to designated locations within a specified market.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/ GED
1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or, if the individual has less than 1 year of experience but meets all other requirements, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization on working with a frail or elderly population upon hiring.
Valid and properly classified driver's license issued by the secretary of state with 7 years of prior to the date of application.
Good driving record.
J05 driver's license classicfication prior to start of driver duties.
BLS CPR card through American Heart Association
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Has demonstrated the ability to exercise reasonable care in the safe operation of a motor vehicle which will be utilized to transport persons in accordance with such standard as the Secretary of State prescribe including a driving test in such motor vehicle ,and as such, is insurable by OSF HealthCare carriers.
Has not been convicted of any of the following offenses within 3 years of the date of application: Sections 11-401 (leaving the scene of a traffic accident involving death or personal injury), 11-501 (driving under the influence), 11-503 (reckless driving, 11-504 (drag racing), and 11-506 (street racing) of this Code, or Section 9-3 (manslaughter or reckless homicide) and 12-5 (reckless conduct arising from the use of a motor vehicle) of the Criminal Code of 1961 or the Criminal Code of 2012. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous driving work experience.
Previous experience transporting the elderly or people with disabilities.
