The Senior Commercial Banker grows and retains profitable relationships by focusing on the delivery of value added solutions to clients and prospects that will help the company reach their goals and maximize our revenues over the life of the relationship. The Senior Commercial Banker is the focal point of the client relationship, orchestrating the interface with clients and credit support staff as well as product partners.

 

What Youll Do

  • Achieve new business by identifying and maintaining quality revenue generating sales opportunities, seeking opportunities to cross sell into relationships and anticipate the future needs of the client

  • Generate self-sourced business by developing relationships in the market, and growing internal and external network referrals

  • Collaborate with credit team to fully understand performance of portfolio companies through statement, borrowing base and trend analysis

  • Effectively manage timely resolution of exceptions, renewals, reviews and the credit process, maintain risk rating accuracy, anticipate future needs and interface pro-actively with stakeholders and partners to address those needs

  • Build a high-quality, long term prospect portfolio

  • Cultivate referral sources to increase number of prospects and improving coverage of those prospects through purposeful outreach

  • Actively participate and represent the team, engaging internally within the organization and externally within the community in ways that contribute value and demonstrate leadership

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting (preferred)

  • Solid understanding of general credit and risk principles, mitigates, and banking policies/procedures; formal bank credit training is preferred

  • 10+ years Commercial Lending experience, with a focus on C&I

  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability establishing client relationships and working within a team environment
