The Marriott Hotel Website Product team leads design, development, and innovation across the portfolio of 8,000+ venue-based digital experiences, in over 150 countries and across 30 highly recognized brands. Reporting to the Product Director of Hotel Websites, we are seeking a Senior Product Manager for Hotel Websites will play a key role in maturing Marriott’s Hotel Website digital experience in support of advancing the Company’s goal of becoming the world’s favorite travel company. As a member of the team, you will help us to achieve our goal of delivering the right content to the right person at the right time throughout the travel journey. A key responsibility of this role is to develop a deep understanding of the life cycle of guests and to help create and execute a strategy to drive growth in direct revenue, member acquisition/retention, and other strategic KPIs.

In support of Marriott’s digital strategy, this role will collaborate and partner with Enterprise SEO, Digital Operations, UX, Engineering, Continent Partners, and Field Marketing to define and own the Hotel Website product roadmap for technical optimization, globalization, and product performance. This role will develop and execute a data and user-driven strategy for providing our customers the ideal discovery, search, and reservation experience with an optimized balance between content, branding, and personalization features. The Senior Product Manager will co-manage a cross-functional agile product team to activate against each aspect of that roadmap and strategy.

An ideal candidate will be a true data-driven digital manager who relentlessly pushes to understand customer needs, balance user value with business value, through improving operational scale, and continually partner and prioritize in a complex and fast- paced environment. They will be able to navigate both strategic and tactical business, design and engineering challenges seamlessly. The Senior Product Manager will bring a proven track record in managing digital development teams, by demonstrating successful delivery in an enterprise setting. Additionally, an ideal candidate will understand direct-to-consumer digital products, content management systems, technical and functional search engine optimization, personalization, a global growth mindset, a collaborative team spirit, and a passion for delivering amazing digital experiences that consumers love.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Required Education and Experience

- 4-year degree in Marketing, eCommerce, Hospitality & Business Management, related field, or equivalent experience.

- 6+ years’ experience in product management, product marketing, or related function

- Previous experience with managing product implementations for complex and/or large organizations.

- Demonstrated success managing large-scale transactional digital products required, with ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.

- Demonstrated experience and comfort with digital measurement, tracking methods, and analysis.

- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities.

- Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements.

- Ability to execute budget-sensitive product and product marketing plans with tight timelines.

- Demonstrated strong presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills.

- Adaptable and energized by change; willingness to test new approaches and drive change.

- Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

- Demonstrated knowledge of merchandising best practices and retail design.

Preferred

- Digital product experience driving successful business outcomes for commerce or content products in any industry, with preference for travel and hospitality;

- Experience with Adobe product set, with a focus on Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target preferred;

- Demonstrable experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment;

- Proficient in using essential software tools, including Jira for project management, Confluence for documentation, and Figma for design collaboration;

- Ability to produce artifacts such as product requirements documents, epics, and user stories that are actionable and clear for cross-functional team members;

- Experience distilling a high-level product roadmap into an actionable delivery schedule that drives incremental value in pursuit of a broader goal;

- Experience creating features or products that address the diverse needs of global customers;

- General understanding of technical concepts, including, but not limited to how APIs and data tables might be leveraged to build new features or products;

- High level of proficiency with A/B testing concepts and best practices, including hands-on experience with setting up and executing web experiments.

Core Work Activities:

- Manage the entire Hotel Website product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities to ongoing optimization to drive defined KPIs and overall performance. Report goals and performance to product leadership.

- Facilitate continuous improvements and enhancements to the Hotel Website product and manage intake request and issue reporting workflow, processes, and introduce improvements;

- Actively listen for functional and design requirements during project discussions, ensuring accurate documentation and refinement with stakeholders;

- Produce artifacts such as epics and user stories that support execution of product roadmap;

- Partner with cross functional teams to define and manage ongoing delivery schedules in Agile working environment inclusive of the creation of requirements and user stories for new product features, plus the delivery across the teams;

- Create concise, compelling business cases that lead to buy-in from managers and senior leaders;

- Create and manage comprehensive project plans which include resource plans, timelines, dependencies, scope, estimates, budgets, issues, risks and risk mitigation plans, business process changes and other operational needs to launch and maintain a product in market.

- Define A/B and/or multi-variate tests to validate new ideas and features;

- Develop communications for internal executives, the field, customer care, and guests for product rollouts.

Managing Work & Projects

- Take ownership to define new product features or optimizations of existing products, and incorporate them into the roadmap;

- Maintain a well-groomed product backlog of features to include refined user stories with solid technical solutions that are ready for development;

- Support the refinement of product requirements and development of the product roadmap;

- Clearly present the internal customer’s scope to impacted product and technical teams through high-level presentations and use cases

- Track the backlog and update the project roadmap in coordination with the Director, reflecting changes in business priorities within the team’s capacity.
