Job Description

Position Overview The Senior Analyst, Logistics role will handle daily logistic-related activities such as document submissions, daily inventory management, and delivery arrangements. In addition, this position will support logistics for Invenergy’s capital equipment relative to wind, solar, transmission, and energy storage projects. The position will be based on-site at Invenergy’s Chicago, Illinois office and report to the Senior Manager of Logistics. Responsibilities

+ Track shipment schedules and maintain tracking reports

+ Manage relationships with intermodal 3PLs, freight forwarders, trucking companies, ports, and terminals to optimize delivery schedules in accordance with project requirements

+ Coordinate intermodal supply chain distribution of capital equipment (ocean freight, customs, import/export, warehousing) from sourcing locations to project sites

+ Facilitate transportation of equipment to project construction locations

+ Facilitate planning and scheduling procedures for equipment supply and delivery to project sites in coordination with the Invenergy Procurement Team, Invenergy Project Management, and equipment suppliers

+ Execute equipment receiving program at the project level. Train on-site materials receiving personnel, lead communication of delivery status on a real-time basis, manage equipment receiving and inventory status, and report-out through organization.

+ Track and coordinate vessel arrivals, port logistics, and documentation for import shipments

+ Support in other logistics related initiatives such as CTPAT certification maintenance

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline

+ 2-5+ years of experience in supply chain management, intermodal logistics or transportation management, or a related field

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

+ Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time

+ Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills

+ Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

+ Demonstrated interest in renewable energy

+ Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with multiple interests and backgrounds
