Summary

TEKsystems is partnering with a client in Bolingbrook, IL in the search for an IT Support Specialist to join their team. This person will assist with all aspects of level 2 support, including escalated tickets, executive support, A/V support, and more.

This position sits 100% onsite in Bolingbrook, IL with occasional travel to downtown Chicago.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Provide an excellent customer experience, immediately and precisely, on all technical issues related to Laptops/Desktops/Mobile Devices.

- Provide support for software, hardware and networking support for all devices.

- A/V Teams support – troubleshooting and support for meeting rooms

- Install or replace computer hardware and peripherals (i.e. computers, mobile devices and printers).

- Perform initial troubleshooting on computer-related equipment; arranges for additional support as needed.

- Conducts routine maintenance on computers and peripherals.

- Participate in the planning and implementation of computer upgrades, enhancements and expansions.

- Repair hardware or coordinate the repair of hardware devices.

- Provide training and follow-up as appropriate.

- Log activities within ticketing system for tracking.

- Schedule and provide training sessions as appropriate to meet customer needs.

- Maintain inventory of computer related hardware and software.

- Work collaboratively with department technical liaisons to resolve customer issues.

- Provide follow-up on problems or escalation.

- Maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress.

- Ensures customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or applicable work experience

- 4+ years of IT support experience in a corporate, enterprise-level environment, providing hardware & software troubleshooting

- Extensive knowledge of Windows 10; Microsoft Office including Project and Visio.

- Experience with endpoint management software platforms, desktop provisioning technologies like SCCM/InTune, PXE, and JAMF.

- Experience and knowledge of Mac OS

- Self-starter able to work with minimal direction.

- Customer-centric attitude to support and instruct customers to provide efficient resolution of complex problems.

- Able to quickly assess situations and adapt to dynamic priorities.

- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
