Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Round Lake, IL

About the role:

The Project Manager provides business and technical leadership for major site projects, including geographic expansions, process improvements, supplier change notices, capacity expansions and facility upgrades. The Project Manager is accountable for overall project performance relating to assigned Projects including, planning, integration, and execution of project activities, acting as liaison for senior management, Research & Development (R&D) and other stakeholders, managing project resources and overseeing financial achievement. The incumbent will provide input to the project prioritization process and participate in other key strategic business portfolio processes to ensure funding for the objectives. Project managers create project launch date commitments and cash flow forecasts based on business requirements and stakeholder expectations.

How you will contribute:

+ Provides clear direction on project requirements to meet expectations of customers and stakeholders.

+ Leads the team in defining project strategies, developing goals, assigning project tasks and ensures the team meets all goals.

+ Communicates project status updates to all levels of management.

+ Develops and manages team deliverables required for successful project completion.

+ Sets the project strategy, schedules, resource alignment and financial analysis.

+ Approves team deliverables for project completion.

+ Provides Project Management technical expertise in all phases of project execution.

+ Anticipates and resolves conflict situations in a win-win outcome.

+ Drives use of Takeda’s Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) Methodology throughout Projects.

+ Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement of Project Management Office (PMO) business processes.

+ May perform other duties as assigned.

+ Must be well versed in Project Management tools and must possess knowledge of related disciplines.

+ Must have knowledge of such principles as GMPs, FDA guidelines and purchasing practices.

+ Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience, as well as project management tools.

+ Ability to manage multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously.

+ Ability to design and implement projects/studies outside area of expertise.

+ Must demonstrate strategic leadership, strong financial acumen, and proficient supervisory skills.

+ Display ability to communicate effectively using a wide variety of skills and vehicles.

+ Must be proficient in written and oral English.

+ Advanced computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint required.

What you bring to Takeda:

+ Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or other related technical field and 3+ years of related experience.

+ Experience in FDA regulated environment preferred.

+ Leadership Experience desired.

+ PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification desired.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

+ In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions of the facility.

+ Ability to walk 1-3 miles.

+ General office environment.

+ Inside working conditions.

+ May work around moving equipment and machinery.

+ May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

+ Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

+ May work in a cold, hot or wet environment.

+ May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

+ Must be able to work non-traditional work hours or work extended hours to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Takeda Compensation and Benefits Summary

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.

For Location:

USA – IL – Round Lake – Drug Delivery

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$84,000.00 – $132,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.?The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
