job summary:
An Electrical Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Mossville, IL area. The position involves developing and managing power electronics components for e-powertrains, requiring collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and suppliers, extensive experience in product development.

responsibilities:
+ Work with machine systems teams to establish converter requirements for e-powertrain.
+ Perform analysis and evaluation needed to select the best supplier option.
+ Collaborate with suppliers and system teams to develop production components from requirements definition to validation completion.
+ Execute and support electrical commissioning and testing on purchased components.
+ Support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities on purchased components in collaboration with suppliers.
+ Document and resolve field issues.
+ Manage procurement, inventory, and shipment of components.
Skills:
+ Experience with electric drive systems and/or components.
+ Experience in component development (design/analysis/assembly/testing).
+ Proficiency in quality tools including FMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
+ Experience with the NPI issue resolution process.
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience in product development.
