Job Title: QC Microbiologist I

Job Description

As a Microbiologist, you will engage in both routine and non-routine microbiological analyses to support the production and release of finished products. This includes cleaning glassware, preparing media, working with agar plating, and conducting regular routine testing such as bioburden and USP. You will also be responsible for antimicrobial effectiveness testing, microbial growth promotion, and microbial identification. Your role extends to performing laboratory maintenance activities including equipment preventative maintenance and calibration, conducting simple data reviews, and supporting projects within designated timelines. Additionally, you will be involved in constructing and delivering presentations, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and actively participating in continuous self-development.

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Environment

You will be part of a Lab consisting of 6-12 team members. The role is based in one of the few facilities with a dedicated Microbiology lab. The team maintains a strong partnership with the Chemistry team to ensure high-quality testing of disposable product lines. The work culture promotes team interaction with regular lunches, dinners, and weekly meetings. Creativity and team spirit are celebrated with initiatives like meme Mondays. The environment is supportive, with team members readily covering for each other, often going the extra mile to meet customer needs, including working overtime when necessary. The typical work schedule is the first shift from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
