The Senior Copywriter for Leica Biosystems is the wordsmith of Leica Biosystems’ central marketing organization.

You will write stories, video scripts and talking points.

Your will also perform copyediting, applying your keen eye for spelling and grammar, to ensure our top-tier customer-facing material is error-free.

You will be part of Central Marketing and will be fully remote.

You will be a part of the Global Communications Team and report to the Director of Global Communications & Brand responsible for internal communications, public relations, social media and campaigns.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Tell our company stories through internal communication by writing engaging copy for internal newsletter and intranet, such as company news items, success stories and new product information.

+ Provides dedicated internal communications support for Chief Commercial Officer and 1-2 additional executives, including a monthly wrap-up email and messages surrounding organizational change.

+ Represent our brand through copyediting by acting as a super-proofreader and copyeditor for high-priority customer-facing collateral such as company overview presentations and press releases.

+ Reviews content submitted through our marketing approval process (MAPSS) and provides formal sign-off assuring content is grammatically correct.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelors degree in English or related discipline OR in a scientific

+ 5+ years’ experience writing copy, in a scientific or healthcare field

+ Keen attention to detail and ability to spot spelling and grammatical errors

+ Strong understanding of AP style

+ Ability to recognize and adopt the “voice” of leadership clients in written communication

+ Ability to travel occasionally to team meetings, <10%.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Ability to adapt quickly in times of change; problem-solver

+ Proven ability to balance multiple projects at one time

+ Proven ability to Collaborate well across teams and manages stakeholder expectations

The salary range for this role is $95,000 – $120,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
