Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a high-speed printing press machine, focusing on efficient practices to minimize downtime and setup times. Your role is crucial in ensuring the quality of products released to customers. Key responsibilities include operating machinery, limiting scrap waste, collecting sheets to expedite processes, following safety procedures, completing production paperwork accurately, and maintaining machine cleanliness.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Elgin, Illinois.

Work Environment

This role is based in a brand-new, state-of-the-art, 550,000 square foot green facility which includes a well-ventilated but not climate-controlled space. The facility features high-tech equipment worth over $30 million. Safety gear such as steel toes, safety vests, glasses, and ear protection are mandatory. The facility consists of Converting and Corrugating Departments. Working hours are primarily on the 1st shift from 5:45 am to 2:00 pm with potential for 10-hour shifts and overtime as operations scale.
