The Operations Material Handler for Leica Biosystems is responsible daily cycle counts, supplying point of use material, managing Kanban, managing off-site inventory, receipt of incoming materials, and warehouse management.This position is part of the Production Operations Department located in Richmond, IL and will be on-site. You will be a part of the Material Handler Team and report to the Senior Operations Supervisor in Manufacturing & Operations and responsible for receiving raw materials into the warehouse and then to deliver to the production lines. + Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule
+ Follow written work instructions.
+ Must maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
+ Weighing, measuring, and checking raw materials before warehousing
+ Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scales, pH meter
+ Perform inventory cycle counts on time and accurately
+ Pull raw material for production lines
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ High School Diploma/GED with 1-3 years of experience working in a GMP manufacturing setting.
+ 1-3 years experience warehousing
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/5S a plus
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:+ Accurately complete documentation with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
+ Perform root cause investigations for inventory issues
+ Perform batch record and WI reviews
