The Jobat aGlance
As the Inventory Accountant, you will support effective preparation, classification, record keeping, accurate month-end close,and forecasting of the company's inventory balances. You will collaborate with multiple teams across the business to identify discrepancies and make adjustments, monitor the inventory systems, and provide key-related data for reporting. A Typical Day
Ensure all inventory is properly classified and valued, and transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely mannerfollowing generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Analyze inventory records and reconcile any discrepancies
Collaborate on keeping track of inventory levels and making adjustments
Participate in inventory cycle counts andaudits
Assist with creating and improving inventory processes and policies as well as supporting coaching team members on them
Identify cost-saving measures and inventory optimization
Lead end-to-end inventory process and provide key reports
Identify reporting issues and process improvement opportunities within the recurring inventory functions
To Land This Opportunity
You have 3+ years of Accounting inventory management experience
If you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, it's a plus
You're an all-star communicator and are fluent in English (both written and verbal)
Bonus points if you have distribution or manufacturing experience with an inventory-based business
You are all things analytical and pay close attention to detail
You have strong Excel, access, and ERP experience
You like to work across the business with multiple teams as well as independently
You enjoy a fast-paced work environment
