Manager, Cyber eDiscovery Senior Analyst
Capital One is looking for an eDiscovery analyst to join the Cyber Insider Threat and Technical Investigations Team. The role will work closely with other lines of business to support litigation and investigation requests utilizing multiple applications across electronic devices such as email archives, document management systems, laptops, workstations, servers, cell phones, and multi-cloud environments. Personnel in this role perform, investigate, analyze, manage, and report on response activities related to legal discovery and enterprise investigation requests. The position tasks include, but are not limited to: creating and maintaining investigation and incident tracking information; planning, coordinating, performing, and managing investigation response activities; the collection, preservation, processing, and transfer of data; application, workflow, user, and infrastructure administration; drafting and presenting detailed investigative reports and summaries; metrics and capacity reporting and forecasting; and investigation analysis tasks, including examining all available information, and supporting evidence or artifacts collected related to discovery and investigation request.
Responsibilities:
Utilize eDiscovery and forensic software to perform collections of electronically stored information (ESI) from data sources including email archives, document management systems, network drives, and other repositories in response to legal preservation, discovery, and enterprise investigation requests
Process collected data within eDiscovery applications and promote data to be reviewed by internal and external teams
Coordinate, troubleshoot, and provide technical support to resolve collection and processing exceptions and errors
Provide end-user training and support for the enterprise eDiscovery application
Create, update, and maintain program documentation and procedures
Provide support for coordination of data exports and transfers to outside partners and requesting parties
Maintain and serve as an administrator of the enterprise eDiscovery application including tasks related to case, user, software, and infrastructure management
Troubleshoot eDiscovery application and infrastructure issues
Develop, report, and present request life cycle metrics and capacity forecasting statistics and provide suggestions for improvements
Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external parties including other investigation teams, legal partners, and vendors while building strong working relationships
Collaborate on the development of custom tools, scripts, API integrations, and applications that will increase efficiency and effectiveness
Research and recommend eDiscovery and forensic tools that improve productivity and decrease request cycle times
Professional and effective secure handling and collection of digital evidence
Familiarity with laws and regulations regarding legal discovery and evidence collection procedures
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma, or GED or equivalent certification
At least 6 years of experience in the Cyber or Legal field
At least 5 years of experience in eDiscovery or cyber forensics
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field
6+ years of experience using eDiscovery collection and processing software (Relativity, Brainspace, Google Vault, etc.)
eDiscovery Certification such as Relativity Certified Administrator, ACEDS, Relativity Specialist and Pro certifications
Experience with custom scripting including Python
Experience with custom API development and integration for eDiscovery processes
Experience with forensic process and products
Experience with data collection and investigation in Cloud technologies
