Position Summary:
The Benefits Specialist for DESTACO is responsible for managing the company's US employee benefits program, including disability insurance, healthcare plans, 401k, reporting, and more. The person in this position will serve as a backup for our US Payroll Analyst, and will be expected to perform duties associated with our bi-weekly payroll as needed. The Benefits Specialist will provide support for the full US workforce (350 employees) including both hourly and salaried team members across our three US plant facilities and our Corporate Headquarters office. He/she will assist in implementing company initiatives and best practices to ensure a healthy and compliant organization that supports the achievement of DESTACO strategic goals and objectives.

The Benefits Specialist reports to the Director, HR, Americas Region who is a member of DESTACO's HR leadership team. The position requires communication across various levels and functions of the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:
Acting as a liaison with employees by assisting them in answering their benefits questions.
Acting as a Liaison with our benefits consultant and all benefit plan partners (medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, life and disability, 401k and more).
Responding to employee inquiries regarding benefits enrollment, changes, escalations, and general questions while providing a positive experience.
Managing a US and global employee recognition program.
Managing leave of absence administration, reconciling billing statements related to employee disability and leaves - STD/FMLA/LTD.
Preparing and communicating written and verbal information for employee benefits.
Assisting with designing, evaluating, and modifying benefits policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements.
Performing quality checks of benefits-related data and resolving issues in an effective manner.
Coordinate benefits activities including new hire onboarding and on-going benefit education to employees.
Processing biweekly and monthly benefit invoices.
Providing backup support for US Payroll processing.
Providing support as part of the broader HR Team.
Some Detailed Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:
Setting up and processing unemployment claims for each state where Destaco has employees.
Handling all employee work verifications (Work Number).
Processing and funding HSA and 401k to Fidelity and Health Equity (HSA).
Updating Child Support/Garnishment in Smart Compliance.
Inputting STD/FMLA payments into payroll.
Processing paperwork for new employees and entering employee information into the payroll system.

Job Requirements:
Experience:
Successful experience supporting and administering employee benefits. Experience working in manufacturing with a positive employee relations culture, a plus.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office products and HR Information Systems.
Experience working with ADP Workforce Now for payroll, benefits and core talent data a plus.
Strong expertise with Excel doing reporting and data analysis using pivot tables and v-lookups a plus.
Demonstrated working knowledge of employment law and regulations related to US benefits, for example: ADA, FMLA,... For full info follow application link.
