About the Role:Join our team at Neurocrine Biosciences and become a key player in maximizing patient access to our innovative products and accelerating time to treatment. As the Patient Access Manager, you will be at the forefront of providing crucial support and education to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Specialty Pharmacies, ensuring that our products reach the patients who need them most.

Your role will involve being a subject matter expert on regional and national payer coverage policies and processes, as well as providing support to HCP entities on coverage issues and patient financial support programs. You will work collaboratively with multiple internal teams, including field sales, network pharmacies, market access, and commercial analytics, to drive awareness of critical coverage requirements and ensure the integrity of our pharmacy distribution network.

Using your operational expertise, you will continuously monitor processes, propose new strategies, and share best practices to optimize the efficiency of our specialty distribution network. As a PAL, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest levels of effectiveness in our distribution network, making a real impact on patient care.

The ideal candidate will live in the Illinois area next to a major airport for ease of travel. You will be managing your calendar to schedule a minimum of 6 client visits per month.
_Your Contributions (include, but no limited to):

Builds and sustains relationships with pharmacies, physicians and their office staff and other HCPs to help resolve coverage problems for written prescriptions already in process

Works cross-functionally with field sales leadership,specifically Regional Sales Managers (RSM), NeuroPsych Account Specialists (NAS)national account executives (NAE), network pharmacies, and home office colleagues within market access and other related functional departments, such as commercial analytics and operations, to support patient access with specific payers

Provides training and education to HCPson payor specific coverage policies and documentation requirements, appeals processes for specific payers and patient financial assistance support programs, including Company copay assistance program and patient assistance program for relevant audiences, including internal and external customers.

Introduces technology options (e.g-CoverMyMeds) for electronic Patient Access (PA) submission, explains payer criteria, forms, processes, PA, Letter of Medical Necessity, appeals, step edits, formulary exception requests and provides support for other related coverage issues and documentation requirements. Problem solves and conducts case resolution

Communicates effectively and compliantly with field sales, corporate office employees, HCPs, network pharmacies and HUB employees to help identify and resolve coverage and patient access issues

Identifies and communicates payer issues with National Account Executive (NAE) team

Interfaces with local closed-door pharmacies and provides support services and education
