Position Summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join a stable and growing Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This is a unique opportunity to provide patient care, teach and train OB/GYN residents in the heart of the Midwest, and enjoy the benefits of a flexible work/life program.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in Minimally-Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
Teach, train, mentor, and precept residents and medical students in the clinical context.
Engage in scholarly activity.
Contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

MD or DO
Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Certified MIS-designated focus practice and/or AAGL/SLS fellowship trained
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois
Preferred Qualifications

Urogynecology experience
Experience with mentoring and training residents and medical students
Experience or interest in research and academic leadership.
