Job Description

Job Summary:
The Staff Attorney will play an important role in supporting the Firm's day-to-day transactional legal needs. This position focuses on representing the Firm in connection with a variety of contractual matters, including providing assistance to partners and other internal clients on the Firm's client engagement letters, access letters, non-disclosure agreements, data protection agreements, business associate agreements, and other commercial, vendor and client-facing agreements. The Staff Attorney may be expected to work with client's counsel and procurement departments in handling contractual dispute resolution. Candidates seeking a non-traditional or flexible work schedule may be considered pursuant to the Firm's flexibility strategy.

Job Duties:
Reviews, provides advice, and negotiates legal matters pertaining to the Firm's client engagement letters and other commercial transactions and client relationships in a manner consistent with the Firm's business decisions, policies and strategy
Has significant involvement in contractual matters throughout the entire contract lifecycle, from formation to termination
Manages multiple contracts and projects in a deadline driven environment
Complies with the processes, policies and templates of the Office of General Counsel (OGC) with respect to their support of transactional matters
Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree, required
Experience:
Proven record of professional excellence and achievement with three (3) years or more years of experience as a practicing attorney in good standing at a law firm or as an in-house corporate attorney, required
Demonstrated record of excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as a team member, required
Experience working effectively within a demanding, deadline-driven environment, required
Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a variety of contracts, including with clients, vendors and other third parties, preferred
License/Certifications:
Member of a Bar in Good Standing, required
Software:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word required and PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint, preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated record of providing substantive/technical legal advice and support to clients
Strong project management skills, including ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively to completion
Positive client-service attitude
Detail oriented, with excellent organizational skills
Exercises good judgment
Ability to issue spot and summarize key points succinctly
Ability to be flexible and adaptive
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of information
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $100,000 - $180,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $100,000 - $180,000
