Position Summary
This person will assist with procedures involving mouse models of traumatic brain injury from injury and treatments to behavioral and molecular assessments.

Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFU) is a graduate health sciences university committed to serving the population through the interprofessional education of health and biomedical professionals and the discovery of knowledge dedicated to improving wellness. The novel design of the IRP enables academic researchers to reside in state-of-the-art laboratory space that is in close proximity to industry researchers on each floor of the 100,000 sq ft building. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Behavioral assessments in mice including motor, anxiety, and memory tests.
Drug administrations as well as tissue collection, storage, and processing followed by conducting biochemical and immunohistological assays.
Mouse colony maintenance and data records and storage will also be required.
Conditions of Employment
Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check.
Compliance with the current COVID19 vaccination policy.
Required Education & Experience
B.S. or B.A. level education in the biological sciences.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Good organizational skill and the ability to trouble-shoot / problems solve. Basic Microsoft skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the use of experimental mice would be an advantage.
Knowledge of neuroscience.
