Are you a hardworking individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Look no further! We’re currently hiring Truck Unloaders to join our dynamic team at your Springfield, IL Meijer!

As a Truck Unloader, your main duties include unloading items from delivery trucks and transferring merchandise to store shelves. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for properly arranging and storing unloaded items in the backroom.

We are searching for a new member of the Meijer family! When you join us as a Food Clerk, you will provide customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. What will you be doing?

+ Truck Unloaders will unload merchandise from trucks in the main backroom storage area and prepare for those items to be transferred to main areas of the store.

+ Remove product from trucks safely and efficiently, following all safety standards, procedures and processes.

+ Ensure items are properly arranged and that they do not obstruct general areas of the store.

+ Operate pallet jacks to assist in the unloading process.

+ Regularly ensures that product loads are properly handled to minimize damage to products.

+ Stock product and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.

+ Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.

What skills will you use?

+ Must be 18 years of age or older

+ Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

+ Must be able to load and unload up to 50 lbs

+ Strength and stamina to stand and walk for extended periods

+ Able to work independently or as a team to complete tasks

+ Great listening and communication skills.

+ Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and twisting while handling product or using various equipment.

+ Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
