Are you passionate about food, customer service, and creating delicious experiences? Look no further! We’re currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Deli Team at your Springfield, IL Meijer!

As a Deli Associate, you will assist with requests for sliced meats and cheeses, prepared foods such as salads, fried foods and rotisserie chicken. Additionally, you will help production of specialty customer requests. Responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude; will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY; TRAINING PROVIDED

FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITIES FROM 6AM – 2:30PM AND 2PM – 8PM

MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE

Current/past experience in Food Service, Bakery, Restaurant, Deli or hospitality a plus

What will you be doing?

+ Build rapport with customers.

+ Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.

+ Respond to customer questions in an effective manner.

+ Stock product and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.

+ Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.

+ Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.

+ This position is applicable to the following departments: Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Grocery.

+ Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.

+ Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.

+ Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.
