Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to join our team and foster positive transformation in the lives of elementary school students.

+ Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

+ Student Hours: 9:15 AM – 3:15 PM

+ Grade Levels: Early Childhood (EC) through 8th grade

+ Location: Arlington Heights, IL

+ Caseload: Support 4-5 classrooms, approximately 20-35 students

In this position, you will:

+ Play a crucial part in supporting Early Childhood through 8th-grade students

+ Work within a single school building with a very team-based approach

+ Participate in bi-monthly department meetings

+ Engage with a diverse student population with multiple needs, including Autism and intellectual disabilities

+ Provide services through a push-in model within a shared office space

+ Collaborate closely with teachers and paraprofessionals in a highly supportive environment

Responsibilities:

+ Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary setting

+ Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success

+ Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic)

+ Collaborate with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs

+ Facilitate IEP meetings and develop interventions to ensure IEP effectiveness

+ Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work

+ License eligible in the State of Illinois

+ Previous experience in a PreK-8 setting is preferred
