Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time School Social Worker to join our team and foster positive transformation in the lives of elementary school students.

+ Hours: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM (approximately)

+ Duration: August 15th – May 30th

+ Employment Type: Part-time (.4 FTE)

+ Location: Barrington, IL

In this position, you will:

+ Play a crucial part in supporting students from Kindergarten through 5th grade

+ Work within one school building with a collaborative and supportive team

+ Participate in regular department meetings

+ Provide targeted support to identified students, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic well-being

+ Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to best meet student needs

Responsibilities:

+ Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary setting

+ Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success

+ Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic)

+ Collaborate with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs

+ Facilitate IEP meetings and develop interventions to ensure IEP effectiveness

+ Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work

+ License eligible in the State of Illinois

+ Previous experience in an elementary school setting is preferred
