Job Description
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk based in NORTHFIELD, Illinois. This role involves various tasks related to billing and administrative support in a legal environment, such as assisting attorneys with billing, scanning, and filing. The position requires the presence on-site from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and issuing invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Provide support to attorneys in all billing-related tasks
- Take charge of scanning and filing documents, maintaining an organized filing system
- Handle customer inquiries regarding billing and provide appropriate solutions
- Use accounting software systems to manage billing functions and maintain records
- Operate Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting
- Administer customer accounts and update them as necessary
- Monitor customer accounts, identify overdue payments, and initiate collection processes
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally
- Perform other accounting functions as needed, contributing to the smooth running of operations. Requirements – Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ADP – Financial Services
- Knowledge of IBM AS/400
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
- Experience with Accounting Functions
- Experience with Billing Functions
- Experience with Claim Administration
- Familiarity with Collection Processes
- Strong Customer Service skills
