Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for an Electrical Systems Technician to aid in the production of customer product. Responsible for ensuring that processes and operations are completed to meet customer specifications for electrical systems and components. Maintains quality control of products, and troubleshoots electrical issues related to harnessing or other connectivity. Monitors production, directs assembly, and ensures quality related to electrical systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Facilitates and assists with managing the production of engineering projects related to electrical systems, which includes influencing objectives, timelines, work schedules, and leading communications within the plant. Assists with the design of moderate projects

+ Test and troubleshoot electrical issues for existing systems with an emphasis on harness connectivity and wire routing

+ Reviews corrective action requests, inspection results, failure reports, customer documentation, and other areas as required

+ Test and lead training on testing customer products with supplied test software.

+ Works with production teams investigating, troubleshooting product issues, advanced testing, and related areas

+ Develops and reviews reports, documents, and tests, and adjusts operations or activities as needed

+ Assist QA with investigating customer questions and concerns as well as assembly line issues

+ Assist QA in responding to a variety of broad questions and concerns from suppliers, customers, and management regarding test results, interpretation of findings, corrective actions, and other areas.

+ Develops and delivers internal presentations and training as required

+ Interprets and applies department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance with these areas

+ Serves as a lead to staff to include testing electrical systems and troubleshooting related issues

+ Finds solutions for products not meeting specifications and hold further processing or shipment until non-conformances are resolved

+ Interprets electrical drawings and specifications, quality standards and procedures, or other part acceptance criteria for production personnel

+ Communicates directly with internal departments on electrically related matters

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ Mechanical proficiency in troubleshooting and the repair of electrical / mechanical machines and mechanisms. Ideally 5 + years of experience

+ Experience in the Gaming or Amusement industries

+ Has a solid understanding of pinouts and harness related electrical systems

+ Experience in a sheet metal manufacturing or assembly line environment

+ Ability to read wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, and identify wires accurately

+ Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems

+ Understand and use wire terminators and connectors

+ Basic PC skills with proficiency using MS office suite

+ Experience using an ERP manufacturing system

+ Ability to use eDrawings and SolidWorks a plus

EDUCATION

+ High school diploma

+ Trade school certification/degree preferred

SCHEDULE

+ M-Th 10 hour shift

WORK ENVIRONMENT

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
