Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Lead Product Engineer for its Satellite Business Unit.

This can be based in our Charlotte NC, Glendale Heights IL, Smyrna GA, Grapevine TX, Houston TX. No relocation assistance will be provided.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 – $134200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The Lead Product Engineer will lead the SAP transition for the engineering function. This position will serve as a resource for all Satellite locations.

In this role, you will:

+ Analyze and adapt current engineering design paperwork to establish accurate bill of materials.

+ Serve as liaison between the operations team and engineering team for process standardization and bill of material accuracy and updates.

+ Own the change management process for the engineering function regarding SAP transition.

+ Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP in the satellite organization.

+ Train others on the use of engineering software programs, such as Bid Manager, Eaton’s design automation, MAPICS, and AutoCAD

+ Own the roll out and implementation of new product designs and changes to existing product designs across the satellite organization.

+ Maintain good working relationships with customers, distributors, supply chain, Eaton sales personnel and internal plant personnel in support of a quality customer service effort.

+ Flex to support local product engineering responsibilities as needed.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution

+ Two (2) years of product engineering experience (including co-ops and internships) in a manufacturing environment

+ Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now and in the future

+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Charlotte NC, Glendale Heights IL, Smyrna GA, Grapevine TX, Houston TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Three (3) years of product engineering experience (including co-ops and internships) in a manufacturing environment.

+ Strong product knowledge of Panelboards/Switchboards

+ Strong knowledge of controls engineering

+ Experience with an ERP transition

+ Knowledge of SAP

+ Knowledge of Eaton applications (Bid Manager, POM, AS400, MAPICS)

Skills:

Position Criteria:

+ Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD

+ Strong business acumen

+ Knowledge of basic electricity

+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to problem solve and analyze product application issues and drive them to root cause resolution.

+ Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.

+ Must be able to work well in a small team environment

+ Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with internal and external customers.

+ Must be a strong team player that enjoys a fast-paced environment.
