Now Brewing: operations lead, Reserve Bar – Chicago RoasteryOur Main Bar partners provide a quick, elevated experience for our customers searching for to-go offerings at our Roastery & Reserve locations. The Main Bar offers food and handcrafted beverages and brewed coffee offerings featuring our unique Reserve coffees, roasted fresh on-site daily. Located on the first floor of the Chicago Roastery, our Main Bar is often the first stop for our customers, inspiring coffee curiosity through a world-class experience. Baristas at our main bar have the opportunity to showcase their coffee craft and develop their skills while contributing to a team environment steeped in our Mission & Values. Job Summary and Mission This job contributes to Starbucks success of the Roastery & Reserve Store by assisting the store managers, associate managers, and/or specialists in executing store operations and functions during scheduled shifts. Operations leads are committed to operational excellence through the delivery of high-quality products and service, working cohesively with the greater team to ensure delivery the Roastery & Reserve Experience. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of StarbucksMaintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the teamAnticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Roastery & Reserve experience during each shiftAssists with new partner trainingContributes to positive team environmentDelivers legendary service to all customers Develops positive working relationships with shift teamExecutes operational assignments during scheduled shifts. Leverages functional systems consistently to support delivery of Roastery & Reserve ExperienceFollows Roastery & Reserve operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, safety and securityManages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company and brand and policies and standards Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Storytelling and communication of the Princi brand, food and cultureBasic Qualifications Customer service experience in retail and/or restaurant environmentAvailable to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidaysAbility to carry 35lb on a consistent basisIdentify, train, and model adherence to health and safety standards at all timesAs a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits.
