In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Communicate with and support customers, in a timely manner, to provide pre- and post-sales technical support for a growing Functional Genomics product offering.

+ Answer Functional Genomics-related customer inquiries received by phone, email, and chat and document all customer interactions in IDT’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

+ Troubleshoot product use and applications by using customer provided data and information, as well as IDT sales and manufacturing databases.

+ Serve as dedicated support for targeted or strategic customers using IDT’s Functional Genomics products. Handle the intake and completion of custom design requests for Functional Genomics applications.

+ Support the complaint triage and investigation process and assists with complaint resolution by determining the cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, and expediting resolution to the customer’s satisfaction.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Life Science (Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) or related scientific field

+ 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing scientific support role or applicable experience

+ 5+ years of experience with genomics applications in an industry or academic research laboratory environment with demonstrated advanced theoretical knowledge of, and practical experience in Functional Genomics (CRISPR and other gene silencing) technologies and extensive understanding and experience in CRISPR protocols.

+ Ability to analyze data, identify key issues, and solve problems using critical thinking skills

+ Excellent communications skills required

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ M.S or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, biochemistry, molecular biology) or related scientific field

+ 2+ years of experience as a Scientific Applications Scientist

The salary range for this role is $85,000-100,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
