The Senior Program Quality Engineer – Engine Control Systems (ECS) plays a vital role in resolving quality issues, enhancing program quality performance, supporting site audits, and liaising with both customers and internal management.

What You Will Do

+ Use customer and internal metrics to create, lead and implement quality improvements for customer satisfaction.

+ Lead customer escape investigations to customer requirements and Collins standard work by deriving the root cause of the issue and implementing robust corrective actions.

+ Communicate improvement plans and progress to internal stakeholders and customers.

+ Collaborate with Collins make sites and teams to implement improvements using various continuous improvement tools via Collins Zero Defect Plan®.

+ Champion and execute quality initiatives, including APQP/PPAP across the F135 Supply Base.

+ Collaborate across customer and organizational levels to meet customer satisfaction goals.

+ Identify and implement process and product improvements with a cross-functional team across the engine controls programs.

+ Support Collins site customer audits to ensure compliance to customer requirements.

+ Ensure engineering focals are executing AS9145 during the design phases for new product development.

+ Travel up to 10% domestically as needed.

+ Candidate can support either the Windsor Locks, CT or Rockford, IL site on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications You Must Have

+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract .

Qualifications We Prefer:

+ 3+ years in Quality, Engineering, or Operations.

+ Experience identifying root cause and corrective actions.

+ SAP Experience.

+ Experience with Quality and improvement tools including, RCCA Tools, Kaizen events, PPAP.

+ Project management experience.

+ Active security clearance is a plus.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD – 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
