Key Job Elements:

Minimum duties and responsibilities

- Develop detailed plans for implementing new systems or processes based on the needs identified in the business cases;

- Lead the discovery, review, and alignment of initiatives to strategic objectives through the prioritization process;

- Track all project implementation timelines, help identify owners (if lacking), resource allocation, and measure impact to the business;

- Monitor the progress of each project throughout its life cycle to ensure that deadlines are met and objectives are achieved;

- Document all improvements implemented, and develop communication & training plans across the division;

- Expand transformation from domestic sites to international sites & regions, balanced with regional specific requirements and needs;

- Provide subject matter expertise: drive adoption and standardization of industry best in class processes, metrics and overall solutions;

- Own and drive the change management framework;

- Provide updates to senior business leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of new or revised procedures, processes, and/or initiatives;

- Collaborate with Executives and Senior Management to develop solutions for improving organizational and strategic alignment and performance;

- Form collaborative teams and relationships required for innovation to set strategy and initiatives of business process, digital, technology and organizational transformation to drive organizational value optimization, efficiency, effectiveness and cost reduction in finance, supply chain, travel and employee expense, data and analytics, and other support and operational functions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Strong knowledge of Progress Rail products and services, and internal processes;

- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;

- Proven interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;

- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization;

- Ability to travel as required.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions

- Strength – Position typically involves extended travel and office type environment. Employees will be exposed to the industrial environment on a regular basis but will not be performing work in that environment. Frequently standing, sitting, and walking. Occasional light to medium-level lifting (up to 30 pounds);

- Motion – Position regularly requires standard motions associated with on office environment. Occasional reaching, handling, pulling, stooping, carrying, kneeling, crouching;

- Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing in both an office and industrial environment;

- Work Environment – This is typically an office position with occasion to frequent time spent with customers, vendors, and others in an industrial setting;

- Emotional Demands – Very prominent level of responsibility. Must be able to coordinate diverse aspects of a project. Requires significant people skills while sustaining exceedingly ambitious standards in a high-performance work team;

- Safety – Position is not safety sensitive. Position will require the use of Personal Protective Equipment when in any industrial environment, from hearing, eye, and foot protection. PPE is dependent on Progress Rail Location and customer requirements. Position may occasionally involve work in a non-temperature-controlled environment with occupational exposure to machinery, cutting and welding processes, and material handling equipment and cranes.
