Manage the development and Principal Technical Program Manager, OCI Datacenter & Managed Cloud Services

This is a high impact role that will lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery and management of critical initiatives on our strategic roadmap. The role comes with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and will require effective engagement across Engineering and Operations.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to own the planning, scoping and execution of strategic initiatives enabled by technology. They will drive decision-making, roadmap planning, and initiative implementation focused on measurable impact and must be able to manage the balance between business outcomes and technical delivery at scale.

Specific Responsibilities include:

+ End-to-end leader in charge of the program, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery.

+ Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, identify process gaps and build mechanisms to scale.

+ Develop functional specifications, then drive the delivery in a successful and timely manner.

+ Drive program schedules from design to launch, communicate to stakeholders and senior leaders.

+ Oversee daily operations through collaboration with senior management and department leaders, performing an array of business operations functions from managing work-back schedules, generating communications and presentations, and planning and coordinating meetings.

+ Improve current processes & coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency & productivity

+ Gain a deep technical understanding of OCI servers and be able to drive the technical direction of the team, working with cross-functional, cross-service teams

+ Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

+ Define and execute a measurable global program(s) by challenging the status quo and focusing on best practices, Influence, activate, and orchestrate across teams to build alignment and drive results

+ Provide program and project management expertise to complex business initiatives that are global in nature, understanding interdependencies between process, technology, and people needs

+ Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and ensure that project goals are in line with customer and business objectives

+ Drive and achieve successful change management through industry recognized approaches

+ Build relationships and collaborate globally with stakeholders and partners to deliver outcomes across the organization, ensuring a shared understanding of progress and performance

+ Seek opportunities to bring about ongoing improvement and simplification in business operating procedures and practices leading to improved efficiency and effectiveness

+ Track and manage priorities and committed actions to drive progress and provide actionable insights.

+ Ensure that stated and unstated goals, business issues, concerns and priorities are surfaced and understood

+ Lead and mentor peers leveraging best practices and industry experience to develop and grow skills sets.

+ Ability to Outline, Communicate, and Align Project Teams and initiatives with Business and Customer objectives, ensuring customer and organizational success

+ Ability to balance and communicate business needs across project constraints of scope, schedule, and budget of assigned projects up to organizational executive levels.

+ Demonstrate proactive financial management and forecasting of project budgets and delivering projects within approved budgets or approved variances.

Ideal Experience

+ 8+ years of program/project management experience

+ Background in technology enabled change ideally with either datacenter or IT services experience

+ Proven ability to create effective relationships, listen, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels

+ Ability to inspire confidence in senior leaders and motivate global team members

+ Leading and managing a can-do attitude through continual change, ambiguity; able to identify systemic approaches to solving problems

+ Excellent communication skills including high quality written communications and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple way

+ Experience in leading and delivering on Global Cross Organizational Programs involving varying workstreams, disciplines, and deliverables.

+ Proactive, forward-thinking, and strategic, yet pragmatic and technically savvy, with the ability to synthesize disparate information effectively and quickly into clear recommendations, actions, and decisions

+ Program/project management certifications or qualifications with proven ability to deliver complex programs

+ Strong business acumen and with ability to apply that knowledge to inform the best approaches that balance priorities, speed of execution, and cost.

+ Demonstrated ability to think from a business/outcome perspective and translate that into executable delivery and clear accountabilities

Responsibilities

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $87,800 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
