LOCATION FLEXIBLE – SELECTED CANDIDATE CAN SIT IN VERNON HILLS, ILLINOIS (PREFERRED), AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN, OR HEBRON, KENTUCKY.
About the Team: The Core Specialists have responsibility across ZF divisions in North America and across all business lines for used product (core) reverse logistics system, core sorting procedures, core warehousing and core procurement. This person must use the IT system to manage front-end solutions towards Customers, including core surcharge liabilities towards Customers as well to give inputs to the ZF finance team.
What you can look forward to as a Core Specialist:
- Implementing the core return vision and strategy for North America region. North America responsibility for Core Return programs across DIV and BLs (ZF overall North America core management)
- Core Return IT system management supporting Front-end Customers solutions, sales and finance teams for full transparency
- Align core return to product introductions
- Coordination of core stock according to business demand and projects
- Logistic system from Customer to collection points, and Logistic systems from collection points to REMAN lines
- Collection points sorting and booking procedures and instructions
- Logistic return management – single vs consolidated shipments
- Training of collection points and collection points audits
- Financial reports (transportation, sorting scraping per collection points)
- North America responsibility for core procurement with core brokers (core purchase process)
Your Profile as a Core Specialist:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Logistics (or Related Field) is preferred; additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- At least 3 years of logistics experience
- MS Office proficiency with strong skills in MS Excel
- Data Analytics experience and/or analytical mindset
- Process-oriented experience; ideally will have worked with core processes
- Reman business understanding
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to identify and exploit customer needs
- Ability to identify and resolve gaps in existing system
- Ability to work in a matrix organization driving collaboration across region and global functions
