Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electrician/Controls Specialist to join our team at our Rochelle, IL facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role involves improving the designs of existing machinery and facilities, assisting in the development and completion of capital projects, and creating continuous improvement methods and machinery within the plant. The successful candidate will lead strategic electrical projects focused on reliability, cost savings, quality, and safety, and will also maintain plant software and backups for MES and PLC systems. Responsibilities include monitoring plant systems, analyzing performance, initiating action for optimization, performing custom PLC & Drive programming, addressing safety issues, assisting with the specification and integration of control devices, and managing records regarding all system software changes.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Rochelle, Illinois.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a team of 6 maintenance technicians, with a goal to expand to 10. The dress code is professional and appropriate for a manufacturing setting. Shifts vary with the possibility of overtime, primarily training on the 1st shift before transitioning to other shifts. The environment is protected from weather but not temperature changes
