Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

Responsible for the set up and operation of CNC vertical Mills, handling 2-5 setups per day depending on the schedule. The role requires loading, modifying, and editing programs, as well as running 2-3 machines simultaneously. Tasks include working with aluminum, cast iron, and other specialty metals, performing first piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges, and documenting all findings for the quality control team.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Work Environment

1st shift standard hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, currently extended to 4:30 PM, totaling 10 hours a day. Fully trained employees will work 50 hours a week. The shop houses 22 workers on the first shift and features 6 brand new CNC machines. The job shop environment focuses on low quantity runs, typically 20-100 pieces.
