Description:

This position is for a Machine Building where individuals will work from drawings and written communication to layout, assemble, route piping/tubing, and test tight tolerance parts and equipment.

Machine Builder Responsibilities:

Analyzes assembly drawings and specifications. Plans assembly or building operations.

Fastens components or parts together, using hand tools.

Positions and aligns components for assembly, manually or with hoist.

Reworks, repairs, and replaces damaged parts or assemblies.

Lays out, drills, reams, taps, and cuts parts for assembly.

Fastens and installs piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to specifications.

Inspects and tests parts and accessories for leakage, defect, or functionality, using test equipment.

Sets and verifies clearance of parts.

Operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer’s specifications.

Job Requirements:

1+ year or more of experience in a Machine Builder or Machine Assembly role, specifically with mechanical experience

Ability to use hand and power tools, torque wrenches

Ability to read blueprints and drawings
