The Role at a Glance

In this role, you will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility and act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders. You will develop, implement, and promote awareness of more complex business privacy policies of their assigned area(s) of responsibility and conduct more complex compliance reviews and risk analysis to monitor the effectiveness of these policies.

What you’ll be doing

+ Identifying and recommending process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for the enterprise.

+ Consulting on complex assignments and/or projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

+ Developing and implementing complex privacy policies and procedures.

+ Promoting awareness of the organization’s privacy policies through drafting articles, assisting with reporting, and presentations.

+ Drafting and reviewing complex responses to consumer access requests based on a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of the substantive issues presented.

+ Responding and resolving complex consumer complaints involving privacy issues within established timeframes; ensuring actions taken in resolving complaints are sound; and that the resolution is fair, consistent, and equitable and considers all the circumstances in the situation.

+ Preparing and maintaining supporting documentation.

+ Communicating increasingly complex privacy issues/concerns/complaints to management as needed.

+ Complying with departmental and regulatory guidelines relating to timeliness, fairness, record-keeping laws and regulations, documentation, and reporting.

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

+ 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s) (Minimum Required)

+ 3 – 5+ Years of experience in privacy or similar compliance field that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)

+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents, such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, laws and regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.

+ Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice to Haves:

+ Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.

+ Ability to monitor and track changes in laws and regulations, and assist with the development, implementation, and administration of the compliance framework for new laws and regulations.

+ Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., management, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.

+ Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.

+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.

+ Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.

+ Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.

+ Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues, and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.

+ Ability to quickly learn new technology platforms.

+ Demonstrated history of strong project management skills including, experience using project management software and tools, and critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.

+ Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.

+ Foundational understanding of website tracking technologies and app-based tracking technologies.

Certifications:

+ Upon Hire Certifications/Licensure Preferred: CIPP/US

The pay range for this position is $67,000 – $120,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
