Ford EVDD is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities – such as EV platforms, batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling – to create ground-up, breakthrough electric vehicles. By joining the best software, engineering, design and UX talent, you will be a part of creating new technologies and concepts that can be applied across the Ford enterprise. + Develop traction inverter for electric vehicle applications.
+ Design, bring-up, characterize and troubleshoot traction inverter.
+ Trade-off and optimize inverter design for best powertrain performance.
+ Perform complex circuit design analysis, thermal analysis, and control analysis.
+ Hands-on develop circuit schematics and PCB layout.
+ Perform design failure analysis and support functional safety activities.
+ Support design validation and end-of-line tests specifications.
+ Collaborate with mechanical design, software, system, project management, supply chain functions throughout the organization.
+ 3+ years of experience in power electronics product development
+ Familiar with IGBT, MOSFET etc. devices and power modules
+ In-depth knowledge of three-phase traction inverter
+ Hands-on experience of schematic capture and circuit simulation & analysis tools.
+ Hands-on experience of PCB layout for better signal integrity and manufacturability
+ MS, or PhD in EE.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with EMI troubleshooting
+ Familiar with motor control
+ Experience with safety-critical automotive hardware development
+ Familiar with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power electronics products.
