Job Description

Market Track, LLC dba Numerator seeks Business Intelligence Engineer in Chicago, IL. Develop data products and analytics, define methodologies, conduct research and analyses, and drive bottom-line growth by building operational efficiencies. Responsible for driving the adoption of optimal BI methodologies including optimizing current reports, developing analytical frameworks, and establishing appropriate KPIs. Collaborate with the Product, Data, and Engineering teams to analyze, investigate, and deliver data driven solutions related to product and back-end data issues. Work with the Data Engineering team to construct durable data pipelines and metric descriptions that can be replicated and reused for various scenarios. Create and sustain reports and dashboards that offer valuable insights into business operations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and product owners to identify the reporting and analysis needs of the business. Liaise with business stakeholders to comprehend their reporting necessities and devise reports and dashboards that cater to their requirements. Influence and facilitate the operationalization of code for deploying models that are backed by AWS, Github, and version control. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish an effective data governance protocol that spans the entire organization. Work closely with database administrators and other IT professionals in the organization to troubleshoot and optimize BI reports. Assist data teams in defining key performance indicators (KPIs), designing experiments, setting up monitors, and providing support for ad hoc analysis and documentation across multiple use cases. Requires a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or a related field and 3 years of relevant work experience. Experience coding in Python, SQL, and Snowflake. Experience with machine learning techniques including Clustering, Regression, and Natural Language Processing for data analysis and prediction. Experience identifying data-related issues through ad hoc analysis of datasets by executing SQL join logics and operations to uncover problem areas within production level data. Experience communicating complex analyses including KPI reports, performance overviews, and marketing campaign results to key stakeholders and business leaders. Experience developing visualizations utilizing Tableau, Mode, Snowsight, Powerpoint, Power BI, and Excel. Experience coding original visualizations of large-scale data from scratch in Advanced SQL or Python. Experience with applied statistics across temporal data. Experience identifying key metrics and KPIs to measure performance of business operations. Telecommuting is permitted but must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
