Job Description

Market Track, LLC dba Numerator seeks Senior Data Science Analyst in Chicago, IL. Responsible for the management of the Data Services for Numerator using a combination of internal and external stakeholder deliverables. Responsible for the creation and delivery of major strategic projects. Play a key role in the design of custom and syndicated data feed solutions to be sold as a product offering across a number of business cases and uses. Scope new proposals for data feed products. Plan and monitor the data feed system for Numerator Business Intelligence (BI). Proactively identify pain points for internal stakeholders and develop scalable BI reports that can enable long-term tracking or short-term exploration of issues. Leverage existing systems and resources to build out robust monitoring and alerting for internal BI needs. Identify gaps in existing systems and resources to build internal tools to enable other consultants to leverage data capabilities and internal BI needs. Create and manage processes to deliver high-quality data to our Insights platform. Launch metric dashboards in custom analytics software. Requires a Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field and 2 years of relevant work experience. Experience with data science techniques including data and information visualization, exploratory data analysis, data cleansing, data mining, regression analysis, sentiment analysis, and data warehousing. Experience writing complex SQL queries to extract and transform data from relational or NoSQL databases. Experience with Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling with NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn. Experience with data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, Mode, and Looker. Experience with statistical analysis and hypothesis testing with financial data including trend analysis, variance analysis, horizontal analysis, vertical analysis, and ratio analysis. Experience using advanced SQL to create queries on multi-million-row datasets. Experience with Airflow’s DAG concepts, principles, and Airflow’s architecture to resolve production level data issues. Telecommuting is permitted but must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
