Location: Bensenville, IL

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM *Weekends as needed

Status: Full Time (Exempt)

Compensation: $78,000

$300 Sign-on Bonus After Completion of the 90-day Probationary Period

Summary/Objective

The Information Technology Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring the alignment of technology services with business needs. This role involves managing the IT team, implementing and maintaining IT infrastructure, and supporting the organization’s strategic goals through innovative technology solutions.

Essential Functions

+ Team Management:

+ Supervises IT staff, including Help Desk Technicians and other technical personnel.

+ Provides training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the IT team.

+ Conducts performance evaluations and manages the hiring process for IT personnel.

+ IT Infrastructure Management:

+ Oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and systems.

+ Ensures the security, stability, and scalability of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

+ Monitors network performance and resolves complex technical issues.

+ Project Management:

+ Manages IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals.

+ Develops project plans, timelines, and budgets.

+ Coordinates with other departments to ensure successful project implementation and integration.

+ Systems and Applications Management:

+ Evaluates and recommends new technologies and software to enhance business operations.

+ Oversees the implementation and maintenance of enterprise applications and systems.

+ Ensures proper documentation and training for new systems and applications.

+ Policy and Compliance:

+ Develops and enforces IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.

+ Conducts regular audits to ensure adherence to IT standards and best practices.

+ Manages the organization’s data backup and disaster recovery plans.

+ Vendor Management:

+ Manages relationships with external vendors and service providers.

+ Negotiates contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective solutions.

+ Oversees the procurement of IT equipment and services.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities, including managing the IT team and overseeing contractors as needed.

Work Environment

This job is primarily onsite but may require remote work as needed. Availability for on-call support outside regular business hours is required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role, requiring extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel may be required for this position, including visits to other company locations or for professional development.

Required Education and Experience

+ A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

+ A minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in IT, including supervisory roles.

+ Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services.

Preferred Education and Experience

+ Advanced degree or relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or relevant vendor certifications.

+ Experience with enterprise systems, cloud services, and cybersecurity.

+ Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
