Job Description

Description We are in search of a Property Administrator in the non-profit sector, based in Chicago, Illinois. This role is crucial in managing housing and occupancy issues with an emphasis on serving mentally ill and physically disabled individuals. The position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, with the main goal being to prevent evictions and ensure smooth operation of properties.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as a primary contact for property management or occupancy issues, ensuring all concerns are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.

- Leverage knowledge of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations and subsidies to assist in the management of properties.

- Act as a “trouble shooter” by solving escalated problems related to property management and occupancy.

- Use Spanish language skills to communicate effectively with a diverse range of tenants and stakeholders.

- Utilize data entry skills to maintain accurate records of occupancy, lease documents, and property inspections.

- Provide excellent customer service to tenants, addressing their concerns and ensuring their needs are met.

- Utilize in-house software for efficient management of all tasks and responsibilities.

- Compile necessary documents for property inspections and tenant applications.

- Translate documents or communications in Spanish as required, ensuring clear and effective communication with all parties.

- Actively participate in the prevention of evictions by working closely with tenants and providing necessary support. Requirements – Proficiency in Spanish Language and Spanish Translation

- Experience in Data Entry

- Excellent Customer Service skills

- Ability to compile and organize documents

- Knowledge of Lease Documents and their administration

- Experience in conducting Property Inspections

- Familiarity with non-profit sector and its unique operational requirements

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- High level of attention to detail

- Strong organizational and time management abilities

- Understanding of property administration regulations and standards.
