Job Description

As a member of our Consumer Marketing & Insights team, the Insights Manager is responsible for translating market, category, and point-of-sales data into impactful insights and strategies. The Insights Manager will lead monthly reporting on Panel data, scanner data, point-of-sales data, IRI and/or Nielsen data, and data related to marketing promotions. Located on-site at the HARIBO of America corporate office in Rosemont, Illinois and reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Insights Manager (also known as the Insights & Analytics Manager) is an individual contributor management level that will collaborate with cross-functional partners and present data and recommendations to senior management on the “so what, now what”.

The ideal Insights Manager candidate will have 6+ years of experience in roles with the CPG/Consumer Packaged Goods industry that involve using and reporting syndicated data as it relates to marketing and sales (ex: IRI/Circana, Nielsen), and/or point-of-sales data, a Bachelor’s Degree, advanced Excel skills, p rior experience working directly for a consumer goods manufacturer/distributor and the ability to make business recommendations and present their findings and recommendations to senior leadership. + As a member of the Marketing team, analyze and make recommendations based on insights and data

+ Lead monthly reporting based on panel and scanner / point of sale data

+ Pull data, run reports, create dashboards

+ Lead the articulation of insights based on the data, driving both short-term and long-term strategies

+ Collaborate with and gather input from cross-functional partners (Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Category, etc) to help identify and explain key insights and trends

+ Manage data partnerships (ex: IRI, Circana, and/or Neilsen), ensuring effective communication, data access, and utilization services

+ Present findings and recommendations to Marketing leadership and senior HARIBO management including the North American Management team and C-suite Executives

Qualifications

+ 6+ years of progressive work experience using analytics within the consumer goods industry

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

+ Demonstrate advanced use of Microsoft Excel

+ Prior experience using IRA, Circana, and/or Nielsen, point-of-sales data, or other forms of syndicated sales data

+ Demonstrated understanding of the CPG / Consumer Packaged Good industry and trends

+ Experience turning insights into action and making business recommendations for next steps

Preferred Qualifications:

+ MBA or Master’s degree

+ Prior experience working directly for a consumer goods manufacturer/distributor

+ Demonstrated success anticipating future business opportunities or problems and developing strategies to address them proactively

+ Detail oriented and with a high level of follow through and execution

+ Ability to present findings and recommendations to senior management and Executives
