Tired and bored? Is red tape blocking every innovation and automation proposal? As the Manager of DevOps Engineering at Rise, you will own the infrastructure and support operations of our product. Connex is our Industry leading, multi-channel media optimization platform. You will work closely with our product development teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide ideas and solutions to infrastructure challenges. We embrace the spirit of the core principles of DevOps, you will be automating as much as you can! Got an Idea for IAC implementation? Do you like microservices & Lambda Functions? What about containers? Got experience in IT sec?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Familiarity with:

+ Cloud computing infrastructure (AWS/Azure)

+ Production monitoring and support operations

+ Logging, monitoring, and alerting infrastructure (SumoLogic)

+ Operating System administration (Windows Server/Linux)

+ Security update and patch management

+ Configuration Management best practices, principles and tools

+ Operating System administration (Windows Server/Linux)

+ Networking concepts: switches, routers, VLANs, firewalls, load-balancers

+ Relational and non-relational databases

+ Automation experience

+ SDLC best practices

+ CI/CD experience

+ Schedulers (Jenkins / Teamcity)

+ Workflow tools (Airflow / Azkaban)

+ IAC (Terraform / Cloudformation)

What we expect from you:

+ Lead, mentor and directly manage a team of DevOps Engineers

+ Work closely with the Engineering teams to improve operational efficiency and maintain Development/QA/Production software development environments

+ Triage production issues and address them in a sustainable way

+ Automate/script/document work in an effort to be more efficient

+ Recommend, scope, and implement the infrastructure and process improvements

+ Communicate with stakeholders across the department

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field

Experience: 7+ years of on-the-job experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

+ Microsoft Windows Server OS, Linux

+ Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud (or similar)

+ Microsoft IIS, Apache

+ Microsoft SQL Server (or similar)

+ Apache Spark, Apache Kafka

+ SumoLogic, New Relic, DataDog (or similar)

+ Chef, Puppet, Ansible (or similar)

+ TeamCity, Jenkins (or similar)

+ VPN, SSL, SFTP, SSH, RSA, PGP

+ PowerShell, bash (or similar)

+ JIRA, Microsoft Project, SmartSheets, Gantt Charts
