The Data Analytics Manager is a member of UnitedHealth Group’s (UHG) Corporate Security Physical Security Compliance team. The Corporate Security group is responsible for the Enterprise Workplace Security Program that ensures the protection of the company’s global workforce and physical assets through security risk management platforms.

As the Data Analytics Manager, you will be vital to our success and will help drive future growth. In this role, you will be responsible for performing data management, data mining, manipulating data, performing analysis, driving process improvements, and ensuring data integrity through its lifecycle. You will be empowered to make decisions and drive value as you identify opportunities to improve our operational processes through the use of data and technology leading to growth of our business and to enhance our mission of helping people live healthier lives.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Implement process improvement initiatives and automation for efficiency where appropriate

+ Have an eye for detail and ensure that data is reconciled before distribution to stakeholders

+ Effectively mesh multiple data sources to maximize metrics and reporting

+ Translate highly complex concepts in waysthat can be understood by a variety of audiences

+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills

+ Ability to juggle multiple priorities

+ Solid analytical and strategic skills. Must have ability to analyze data and results and understand implications

+ Innovative thinker capable of operating both in a hands-on/execution capacity (detail-oriented, conscientious) as well as a strategic capacity

+ Oversee database development and modification efforts

+ Develop and maintain documentation and standards

+ Gather, organize, and interpret statistical data from the database to provide reports to, and answer questions from, upper management

+ Design, deploy, and manage database ETL processes

+ Provide ad-hoc analysis based on output to business to address short term/long term concerns

+ Enhance the accuracy of model outputs to optimize operational performance

+ Other job duties as assigned

+ This role requires up to 15% travel

Required Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of experience of performing data analysis and reporting development

+ 1+ years of experience with Smartsheet forms, data meshing, dynamic view, pivot, and workapps

+ 1+ years of experience in data tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX formulas)

+ Experience in data workflow process design and data modelling

+ Proficient in Excel and intermediate+ level in other in MS packages (PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Word, etc.)

+ Proven ability to analyze data, drive to root cause issue, identify trends, problem solve and provide key recommendations based on analysis

+ Proven ability to develop/deliver PowerPoint presentations

+ Proven ability to work productively in urgent and stressful situations

+ Proven ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse identities, cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives

+ Proven self-starter who takes initiatives and independently delivers results; a team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment

+ Proven solid project management skills and ability to lead multiple projects and people simultaneously

+ Proven excellent storytelling, communication, and interpersonal skills

+ Proven superior organizational and analytical skills with solid attention to detail

+ Proven flexibility and agility; ability to take direction and feedback and think creatively about solutions to complex problems

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with Smartsheet, Salesforce, ETL tools

+ Data manipulation tools like SQL or others?

+ Proven exceptional analytical, organization, and attention to details skills

+ Proven ability to convert data into business value story and explain the rationale

+ Proven excellent time management, prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities

+ Proven ability to complete work assignments and achieve results in a matrix and sometimes ambiguous work environment

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
