The Physical Security Compliance Manager is a member of UnitedHealth Group’s (UHG) Corporate Security Physical Security Compliance team. The Corporate Security group is responsible for the Enterprise Workplace Security Program that ensures the protection of the company’s global workforce and physical assets through security risk management platforms.

As the Physical Security Compliance Manager, you will be vital to our success and will help drive future growth. The role is responsible for facilitating the compliance of facilities across the UHG portfolio with our physical security standards. This includes sites belonging to newly acquired and existing business units. Responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing and summarizing workplace security program data and physical security assessments from a variety of sources; partnering with other Corporate Security teams to create remediation plans for facilities that require enhancements to meet standards; and helping to drive a continuous improvement process to ensure ongoing compliance with our physical security standards.

Qualified candidates should have experience with physical security programs and be able to support businesses with physical security enhancements and guidance. Candidates also need to have demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in order to effectively plan for and implement physical security enhancements and other workplace security projects and initiatives. The candidate will need to build and maintain strong internal partnerships with key stakeholders to include Real Estate Services, Corporate Communications, Health & Safety, Human Relations, Legal, and other various business segment partners as well as ensuring alignment across the UHG Corporate Security team.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Establish solid relationships with key business leaders and stakeholders in support of physical security requirements for the business

+ Understand the security culture of newly acquired businesses and obtain insight into the security needs of the business

+ Partner with Corporate Security program leads to ensure site-level application of enterprise physical security policy, standards, and specifications across newly acquired and existing businesses. This will include support for:

+ Security systems (intrusion, access control, video, photo ID, etc.)

+ Monitoring services

+ Badge access control

+ Security system repair and maintenance

+ Guard services

+ Security incident intake and reporting

+ Awareness and training

+ As part of the compliance process, identify and support the delivery of additional security solutions for businesses with specific security needs and requests

+ Socialize Corporate Security services with newly acquired businesses, including security training and awareness

+ Effectively communicate project and key deliverable status updates to program leadership and other stakeholders

+ Effectively drive quality solutions, change and positive improvements

+ Implement process improvement initiatives and automation for efficiency where appropriate

+ Have an eye for detail and ensure that data is reconciled before distribution to stakeholders

+ Other job duties as assigned

+ This role may require after-hours on-call availability, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed

+ This role requires up to 15% travel

Required Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of relevant security experience in the private and/or public sector implementing/supporting physical security programs

+ Demonstrated knowledge in reporting and metrics

+ Demonstrated ability to problem solve and collaborate with cross-functional teams

+ Ability to successfully perform under high pressure and stressful situations

+ Solid interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to lead meetings with internal stakeholders and leaders

+ Intermediate or higher level in MS packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.)

+ Ability to effectively deal with moderate levels of ambiguity – can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably

+ Flexibility and agility; ability to take direction and feedback and think creatively about solutions to complex problems

+ Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse identities, cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of a variety of physical security systems/technology

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
