+ ?This job is a member of the Inspection Team within the Integrated Operations Division.

+ ?Responsible for managing the support of American Airlines Line Maintenance Organization at hub locations.

+ Also responsible for overseeing the proper administration of the American Airlines Quality Control programs including RII, NDT, Major repair reporting, receiving, training and rejection/buy back.

+ ?Manages the team which monitors compliance with the approved AA Maintenance Program and applicable CFR

+ Leads team that monitors work in progress for workmanship in addition to, compliance with regulatory requirements and American Airlines policies, standards and procedures

+ Ensures line maintenance initiates the appropriate corrective actions as needed

+ Responsible for teams that audits completed tasks to ensure physical work accomplished matches the provided instructions

+ Manages reported deficiencies of the Line Maintenance Organization

+ Works with other support organizations to ensure adequate collaboration

+ Builds strong dependable relationships with other supporting departments both internally and at all of the facilities

+ Extensive travel domestic and/or international will be required in addition non-standard work weeks as necessary

+ Manages departmental budget for elements within their span of control

+ Manages organization to support corporate D0 initiatives

+ Manages organization to achieve reductions in MEL/CDL items to support corporate goals

+ Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access to for privileges to airport security identification display area (SIDA), if applicable

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

+ 4 years’ experience in the operation and repair of air carrier maintenance programs

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

+ ?5 years’ experience in the oversight of a Part 121 Maintenance organization
