Molex a worldwide leader in manufacturing is seeking a full time Maintenance technician to support our busbar manufacturing facility in Monee, IL. The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production and facility equipment at our site. This position involves undertaking a wide range of tasks, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. By adhering to safety protocols and utilizing predictive and productive maintenance systems, the Maintenance Technician contributes to the site's overall success in achieving business goals and objectives.
This is a full-time position on second shift, Monday through Thursday 2:30PM-1:00AM
Our Team

Molex's manufacturing facility in Monee, Illinois, specializes in the production of busbars-conductive strips or bars usually crafted from copper or aluminum. These busbars play a crucial role in electrical power distribution systems. The facility is dedicated to creating top-notch busbars that adhere to industry standards, catering to diverse applications such as power distribution in switchgear, datacenters, infotech equipment, electric vehicles, electrification, and other electrical systems. Molex, renowned for its proficiency in electronic solutions, connectivity, and interconnect products, serves various industries.
What You Will Do
*Inspect machinery to diagnose malfunctions in equipment, repair replace defective equipment as necessary.
*Test and repair malfunctioning production equipment/machinery and notify appropriate personnel.
*Perform routine maintenance on equipment including press breaks, stamping presses, turrets, laser cutting, water jet, pem inserters, CNC, mills, air compressors and dryers, rooftops, boilers, etc.
*Perform Preventative Maintenance, help with improving our documentation and take ownership in making sure our equipment is functioning at optimal levels.
*Repair and diagnose issues on all equipment within the facility.
*Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using electrical drawings, DMM, or phone support.
*Maintains current knowledge and actively addresses safety and environmental issues.
*Good understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot common issues all the way up to hydraulic systems.
*Be able to work independently and make critical decisions on repairs with minimal supervision.
*Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools, welder, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, etc.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
*Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
*High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
*4 plus years of industrial experience: electrical and mechanical

What Will Put You Ahead
*An AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance.

*Experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic skills with some PLC experience and HVAC
