Job Description

Sr. QA Analyst (Multiple Positions), Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc., Chicago, IL. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Software Engineers in Test, Project Management, and management and peers in planning and executing tests. Verify software under test while ensuring compliance with SDLC process. Coordinate testing processes and unit tests covered by software engineers by focusing on business functionality and integration of application within ecosystem from inception through Implementation. Communicate with wide audience spanning both internal and external teams. Ensure that team is complying with SDLC process. Execute responsibilities in addition to providing oversight and planning activities. Identify efficiency opportunities and explore innovation and means of implementing new technology/processes. Mentor and prepare team members by demonstrating/modeling how a mentee might develop greater initiative, increased independence and self-reliance. Provide domain-level expertise both on applications under test and testing practices. 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Information Technology, Information Systems, Applied Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in a related IT occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Applied Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related IT occupation.

Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:

•    Using SQL for analysis and data verification in back-end tables;
•    Testing Java applications;•Interfacing with support teams, development teams, and other QA teams;
•    Testing REST API services and Middleware applications with Postman; and
•    Automation test scripts for UI modules using UFT or Selenium.
