As the largest national accounting firm focused on serving the middle market, RSM US LLP has an opening for an Associate within our Consulting Quality & Risk Management ("CQRM") Team. Location preference is in Chicago, IL for a HYBRID role. This position will require onsite attendance to our Chicago office at least one to two times per month.

Part of RSM's National Office of Risk Management, our CQRM Team consists of over twenty experienced professionals with a wide range of business and legal experience supporting the consulting, tax, and audit practice. This will be a great opportunity to contribute and grow with a premier and highly successful professional services organization while developing a deep understanding of the business and the risk management knowledge and skills necessary to support it.

The successful applicants' primary responsibilities will include supporting experienced members of the CQRM team in the following functions:

Review of professional services engagement agreements, subcontractor agreements, non-disclosure and business associate agreements, data privacy agreements, information security agreements, reseller and referral agreements, and other related contracts and legal documents
Review of commercial and public sector requests for proposals and development of exceptions documents in support of engagement pursuit
Preparation, development, and/or updates to contract templates, contracting playbooks, risk management plans, knowledge management articles, practice manuals and policies, and training material

Preferred qualifications consist of:
Minimum:
JD with the expectation of admission to the bar in a US jurisdiction within a year of hire
Basic knowledge of contract law (through education, legal clinincs, work experience, and/or other training)
Experience reviewing and editing contract, preferable those pertaining to professional services engagements
Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred:
Prior experience working in an accounting or consulting firm, a business risk management advisory role, or a government or commercial sector legal/procurement department
LLM, MBA, CPA, or other relevant certifications in consulting, accounting, or legal profession
Other:
Limited travel
