We are searching for an Electrical Designer to join our Indianapolis Studio. Following 90 days of employment, employees are eligible to work remotely 16 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Engineer
    • May attend client, consultant, or design committee meetings.
    • Communicates with other team members.
  • Develop quality project documents
    • Assists in design and documentation of projects.
    • Participates in various design and construction phases of projects.
    • Participates in project debriefs and lesson’s learned sessions.
  • Meets deadlines and manage personal utilization within project budgets 
    • Works within assigned workplan hours and/or tasks for guidance.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Pursue certification and/or license (if on a licensure track).
  • Support systems commissioning activities, including site visits and functional testing - development and execution.
  • Promote company reputation through good client relations.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

  • Design:  Generates creative solutions; translates concepts and information into images; collaborate with others to modify design; applies design principles
  • Effective communication skills:  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret information.
  • Leadership Skills:  Able to assume a role of authority, as necessary; sets an example for coworkers; delegates responsibility and empowers associates to make decisions and take personal accountability for decisions.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail:  Able to perform work and job function with precision and accuracy; carefully monitors processes; concentrates on details, organizes and maintains a system of records.
  • Code and Mathematical knowledge required: Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws.        Work requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand “abstract” principles behind math and physics
  • Ownership Mentality:   Possesses a sense of ownership in all deliverables. Utilizes knowledge and opportunity to continually strive for excellence within an empowering culture. Collaborates and supports fellow employee owners in ongoing improvements. Understands personal accountability within their role in the company.  
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors or Professional degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 0-2 years of applicable experience
